Birsta
RED has developed additional retail at the Birsta Retail Park in Sundsvall together with PERITAS. 17,000 square metres of retail space was added with the establishment of the strong retail concepts EKO Hallen, Elgiganten, JYSK and Dollarstore.
About the project
In 2018, RED and PERITAS jointly acquired land from NCC in Östra Birsta, Sundsvall. The property is strategically located in Östra Birsta with very good accessibility and visibility. The starting point was to use local presence, retail expertise and a focus on property to develop the building rights that existed on the property. The property was developed in phases, with EKO Hallen and Elgiganten opening their stores in the autumn of 2019. JYSK and Dollarstore were also completed in 2020 and the property, which now comprised approx. 17,000 square metres of retail space, was thus fully developed. The construction was undertaken on a turnkey contract basis by Fastec Sverige AB.
